John Hartford .This is the closing song" John Hartford" performed as part of a Mississippi River Boat documentary DVD "Banjoes , Fiddles and Riverboats" , as seen on TNN in 1990. River Boats were a passion of John's. Please excuse all the credits rolling throughout but I thought it was such a nice John Hartford song it was worth posting . I hope the viewers enjoy seeing John's happy , smiling face again. Miss ya John.

Frank's Band and Del's Band played at the East Hartford Community Cultural Center in East Hartford, Connecticut on 11/16/07. At the end of the evening Del invited Frank out for the encore. Frank and Ronnie McCoury on mandolins, Del on guitar, Rob McCoury on banjo, Jason Carter on fiddle and Alan Bartram on bass.

John Hartford and his band perform - "Gather Round the TV" live 8-22-98. This has been one of my favorite songs for many years now. I just adore how John paints the picture of cozy family life centered around one of the greatest and worst inventions of all time! John was well versed in the power of the tv and enjoyed a nice stint as fixture on the Smuthers Brothers show and even his own show! Some of those clips can be found on youtube as well.
